It is recommended that you consult your physician before starting any exercise program. A medical check-up and stress test prior to beginning is recommended. In order to make our facilities clean, safe and enjoyable to all residents it is necessary for us to provide certain rules and regulations and to uniformly enforce them. Please familiarize yourself with the following rules:

ENTRY PROCEDURE – The Fitness Center is for Islandwalk residents and their guests only. Each Unit must sign a waiver of liability when they receive their FOB for entry. There will only be two FOBs per Unit, additional keys may be purchased through the management office. A fee will be charged for additional or extra FOBS.

WIPE DOWN – All users are required to wipedown all equipment after use with provided disinfectant spray and paper towels

DRESS CODE – Shirts or tank tops, shorts, or sweatpants must be worn at all times. Swimming suits cannot be worn alone. Closed-toe rubber-soled shoes must be worn at all times. No street shoes or boots. No flip-flops or aqua shoes.

CHILDREN – No children under the age of 16 are permitted on any piece of exercise equipment. No children under the age of 16 are permitted in the facility without being accompanied by an adult resident.

PERSONAL TRAINING – A certified professional may be hired at the resident cost to conduct personal fitness evaluations and training sessions. Prior to any instruction certified trainers must submit a current copy of comprehensive general public liability and property damage insurance for advance approval to the Manager’s office.

There is a time limit of 30 minutes on all cardio equipment while people are waiting.

You must rack all dumbbells after use.

Do not drop or bang free weights or machine weights.

No food or drinks in exercise areas. Plastic spill-proof bottles are permitted.

No smoking is permitted in the facility.

No Pets allowed.

No equipment or weights are to be removed from the facility.

Any problems should be reported in writing to the Management Office.
